Once you can make a basic Egg Fried Rice the world is your oyster. You can add leftover Sunday roast, vegetables, seafood anything you wish to make your perfect fried rice. Fried rice is one of our Christmas leftover favourite. I think we were still eating Turkey and Ham fried rice in January. You will need to add more seasoning if you are making more than the basic Egg Fried Rice. To me it is the same as if you can bake bread then you can make any sandwiches you want! For now lets get the Egg Fried Rice perfected.

Egg Fried Rice
Basic Egg Fried Rice recipe. Using only 3 ingredients to make this simple recipe. Add in vegetables and protein of your choice to make a complete meal.

  • 500 g cooked rice I used mixture of Thai and long grain rice
  • 3 egg
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbs Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbs vegetable oil
  • pinch salt and pepper

  • 500 g cooked rice I used mixture of Thai and long grain rice
  • 3 egg
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbs Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbs vegetable oil

Egg Fried rice
Instructions
  1. Beat 3 eggs and 1 tsp soy sauce together. Heat the oil in a wok, once the oil is hot fry the beaten egg. Swirl the eggs around as if you are making a pancake.
  2. Once the eggs are starting to cook, scramble it. Add in the cooked rice and the reminding ingredients and give it a good stir. That is it.

Tips: You want to cook the eggs in a hot pan but turn the heat down once the eggs are cook or you will burn the rice.
