Summer is here and it is time to get out the BBQ.
WOOOHOO!
I mean what is not to love? A big juicy piece of well marinated meat cooked just right on the BBQ  by Mr M. That is what summer is all about.

We cooked this recipe for the first time with a whole rib of beef, once cooked sliced it and served in a burger buns. It makes a lovely change from your minced beef burger at the BBQ.

In this recipe I have used 4 Sirloin steaks as it was on offer and I am a sucker for the red ‘On Offer’ stickers. (photo is of Rib of Beef)

Please feel free to use any cut of steak you prefer for this recipe. The marinade is enough for about 800g to 1kg of steak.

The marinade has lots of herbs and garlic and i used oyster sauce to  give it that extra flavour.

I am also not going to tell you how long to cook the steak for as it all depends if you are cooking it on a BBQ (gas or coal), under a grill or in a pan and how you like them cooked. I am a medium well and Mr M is medium rare. I am sure you are all expert on cooking a good steak.

Enjoy

Instructions
  1. Add all the ingredients apart from the steak into a large container and give it a good mix then add the steaks. Give it a mix making sure all of your steaks are covered in the herby mix. Cover the bowl and keep in the fridge for at least 2 hours (preferably over night). Sometimes when I find a good offer on steak I will buy them, marinade and keep in the freezer until I need it.
  2. Cook your steaks on the BBQ to your liking and serve on a salad or sliced and serve with any type of bread you like. I have had them in a bun, in a wrap, but my favourite is in pita bread with a bit of salad and hot sauce.
