Do you like Fortune cookies? if you do then you will love my Homemade Fortune Cookies. After watching Great British Bake Off contestants making these, I though I would have a go. It is easier than I though it would be.
These homemade Fortune Cookies are great fun to make with kids and it makes a great gift. I love enable gift, don’t you? Who would not what a bag/jar of homemade cookies filled with funny jokes or loving messages. You can make these for Valentine, Mother’s day, Birthday or even Christmas.
The recipe I used was from BBC Good food. I tried a few and found this recipe to be the best and easiest to follow. The original recipe call for you to chill the mixture for 1 hour, but I did not have the patient for it and use it after 5 mins and it was fine. I also made it a lot thinner than the original recipe call for, that is just because I like it really crispy.
I would recommend looking at a few You Tube video on how to fold them before hand. that is the only difficult bit to making these homemade fortune cookies. Like making pancakes you need to make a few first to get it right, but once you got it! you will want to make them all the time.
