This is what we always cooked with our Sunday leftover, Leftover Fried Rice.
This Leftover Fried Rice is exactly what the name suggest, you can use any ingredients you have left over from another meal or what ever you have in the fridge. For this recipe I am using my leftover Sunday roast chicken and some peas and sweet corn I had in the freezer. It could not be easier.
Fried Rice, is cooked rice (another great use of leftover rice) stir-fried with eggs, vegetables, seafood or meat. There are no rules as to what you should put in your Fried Rice, which makes it a very versatile recipe to have in you collection.
My leftover Fried Rice is also a great dish for children to cook. I don’t know about your child but my do not like to touch raw meat, using cooked chicken in the recipe mean she was able to cook the whole dish by herself.
This Recipe is like the Pirates code – more of a guild lines. Feel free to use any protein or vegetable you have or like.
You will notice in the instructions below that I add the dark soy sauce to the rice before it goes into the wok. This is to make sure that we can cover all the rice.
Get your leftover and lets cook.
