Mulled Wine recipe that is mild and delicious you will want to drink it all year round. This Mulled wine recipe is easy and can be made ahead.

First cut the orange in half and stud the cloves. Make the syrup by heating up all the ingredients apart from wine and lemon to boiling then simmer for a few minutes.
Turn of the heat and add in the sliced lemon. leave to steep for few hours or over night.
Remove the fruits and spices if you wish (i prefer to do this) Add in the red wine and bring back to simmer. Serve warm.
You can make the syrup in advance and stored in the fridge until require.
