This Cookies recipe is base from Lisa Faulkner Cookbook “Recipes from my mother for my daughter”
It was actually this cookbook that inspired me. I wanted my blog to have the loved and warmth that Lisa’s cookbook has.

This Oatmeal Cookies is also one of Emj favourite thing to bake after cupcakes. It is so simple, perfect to make with your little one.

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 160c. Then get your little chef ready to bake. Put the butter, sugar, syrup, bicarbonate of soda and water into a large saucepan and melt on a medium heat. Once malted remove from the heat and add in the oats and flour and stir to combine well.
  2. Place TBSP-sized ball on to a lined baking tray, leaving space between them as they will spread out. I normally get about 18-20 out of each batch, depending if it is me or Emj that spoon them out.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-13 minutes or until it has just turn Browns. Cool the cookies on a wire rack.
