Simple Vegetable Stir-Fry
Simple Stir Fry Vegetables that is perfect to have on its own or as a side dish. This recipe is one of the easies way to make sure you get your 5 a day.

  • 500g mix vegetable of your choicesee above
  • 1tbs corn flourmixed with 2 tbs cold water
  • 3tbs oyster sauce
  • 1tbs Soy Sauce
  • pinch sugar
  • pinch ground white pepper
  • 150ml water
  1. Firstly blanch your vegetables by dropping it into a pot of boiling water. Bring it back to the boil for 1 minutes, then drain and rinse under cold water till cool. This is optional. you can cook it from fresh.
  2. Heat a drop of vegetable oil in a wok over high heat, till you can see it slightly smoking. Dump all the vegetable in to the wok give it a quick stir then adding all the sauces, sugar and white pepper.
  3. Add in 100 to 150 ml of water (depending on the vegetable you are using and how much liquid there is in the wok). Bring to the boil as quick as you can. Taste and adjust flavour as require.
  4. Add in the corn flour mix to thicken the sauce. this should turn to gravy like consistency in second. Served while hot.

Try adding beef to this recipe, just give the beef a quick fry before adding in vegetables.

You can also add in garlic, chilli or ginger if you like it spicy

Use Mushroom oyster flavour sauce to make it a vegetarian.
