Stir fried chicken with garlic

Ingredients
  • 500g chicken breastthinly sliced
  • 5 cloves of garlicpeeled
  • 5 black peppercorn
  • 3 coriander rootsor about 5 coriander, if you can not get roots
  • 1tsp Knorr chicken granules
  • 3tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1tbsp dark soy saucehalf if you are using Thai dark soy sauce
  • 1pinch sugar
  • 1tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
  1. First make the paste, pestle and mortar is best for this job but a small blender will be just as good. Crush the black peppercorns once it is crushed, add in the garlic, salt and then chop in the coriander roots. Crush everything together to make a paste.
  2. Put your sliced chicken in a bowl, add in the paste and the rest of the ingredients and give it a good mix.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a wok, once the pan is hot add in the marinated chicken and give it a good stir. Cook the chicken at a medium to high heat, stirring occasionally so it does not catch on the wok. When the chicken is starting to brown add about 100 ml of water, a little at a time, to make a nice sauce. Once the chicken is cooked taste that you are happy with the flavour. Then it is done. Serve with steamed Thai rice.
